Four generations of experience. In 1922, Dr. Albert Dormanns founded the Dormanns pants factory in his grandfather's empty cloth mill, where he manufactured jackets, pants and work clothing made of returns, samples and bought-up surplus stock. After Dr. Albert Dormanns' death in 1968, the company was inherited by his daughter Marie-Lore Walendy, née Dormanns. Her husband Rolf Walendy became responsible for running the company.

Son Georg Walendy joined the company as a clerk in 1977, aged 24. The name ALBERTO came into being in the 1980s. The pants were transformed into innovative garments with clever functions but lost nothing of their fashion appeal.

During the 1990s, the company made a name for itself as a globally active enterprise exporting its products to numerous countries all over the world. Georg Walendy now manages the international company ALBERTO GmbH & Co. KG in cooperation with participating director Marco Lanowy and commercial director Jürgen Schmiedel. ALBERTO has successfully established itself on the market with a men's pants collection and its own golf line, and the youngest generation is already firmly integrated.

It is the long tradition of authentic pants tailoring that makes ALBERTO so special. Each pair of pants is a unique piece of fashion. Ever since the beginning, their most outstanding feature has been their perfect fit. At ALBERTO, true craftsmanship meets state-of-the-art fiber technology. This symbiosis produces pants which are one of a kind - high-quality, exceptional and invariably made with love.

Perfect quality management is also essential to ALBERTO's success. Each fabric and each pair of pants is subjected to stringent inspection at the Mönchengladbach site with its wealth of tradition. Whether Denim, Dressy, Casual or Golf, each pair of pants is checked by hand before leaving the company for one of the thousands of stores supplied by ALBERTO all over the world.
